January 2022 – Our lab is awarded the NIH/NIGMS Center for Biomedical Research Excellence Project Grant! This grant will support the Developing Sex-specific Nanoparticle for Immunomodulation. The total costs will be over $800K for 3 years.

August 2021 – The lab is awarded the Neuroscience Research Priority Area (NRPA) Grant from the University of Kentucky! This fund will support developing a novel Nanotherapeutics for Spinal Cord Injury.

July 2021 – Camara won 1st place at the 2021 REU Research Competition in the Poster presentation. Congrats!

July 2021 – Our collaborative book chapter with Dr. Lonnie Shea from the University of Michigan is accepted and in-press now. It will be published in Spinal Cord Injury Pain, Elsevier

May 2021 – Dr. Park is chosen to receive the Wethington and Collegiate Pillar Award from the University of Kentucky

May 2021 – Camara Casson from Florida Tech joins the lab as the Summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates.

March 2021 – The lab is awarded the NIH NIGMS Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) pilot grant! This grant will support our Combinative approaches for Spinal Cord Injury Regeneration project.

July 2020 – Matthew Farmer joins the lab as a undergraduate research assistant.
