Daniel Kolpek
Daniel received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 2021, following which he immediately joined Dr. Park’s research lab as his first ever PhD student.
Daniel’s work in Dr. Park’s research group focuses on studying the effects of nanoparticle physicochemical characteristics on the immunomodulatory effects of nanoparticles. Daniel’s publications with the group can be found here. Daniel loves playing video games in his spare time, as well as hanging out with his labrador Nala

Jaechang Kim
Jaechang Kim received his Pharm.D and M.S degrees from Chung-Ang University in Seoul, Korea. After practicing Pharmacy for a while, Jaechang moved to the U.S. in 2022 to pursue his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, joining Dr. Park’s lab in the process.
Jaechang’s work focuses in Dr. Park’s lab focuses on developing hydrogel based spinal cord organoid to promote neural regeneration after spinal cord injury. A full list of his publications can be found here. Jae loves to take long walks in his spare time

James Okwudirichukwu Ogidi
James Ogidi received his B. Pharm from the University of Nigeria in 2018, after which he practiced as a pharmacist in community and hospital before deciding to pursue his PhD in 2023.
James’ work in Dr. Park’s lab focuses on enhancing the therapeutic potential of drug-free nanoparticles for spinal trauma in a bid to drive these therapies towards translation. Full list of his publications can be found here. In his spare time, James enjoys playing games, watching soccer and learning about different cultures.
